Archy Privacy Policy
Effective from 2 November 2026.
In short: we don’t collect or see your data. Archy has no accounts, no server, no ads and no analytics. Your archive stays on your phone, encrypted.
Who we are
Archy is developed by Vitaliy Maliborskiy (Ukraine) under the studio name Quiet Apps. Data questions: support@quietapps.app.
What the app stores and where
- Items, photos, receipts, bank statements, warranties, service history and notes are stored only on your device. Every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM; the key is kept in the Keychain (iOS) or Keystore (Android).
- Your PIN and duress PIN are never stored — only their hashes (Argon2id), in the Keychain / Keystore.
- Settings (theme, language, reminders) are stored on the device.
Backups
- You create the
.archyfile yourself. It is encrypted with your password and you keep it wherever you choose. Without the password or recovery key nobody can open it — including us. - The Premium cloud backup (when available) will be stored in your iCloud Drive or Google Drive, encrypted on the phone first. We have no access to it; Apple’s or Google’s terms apply to storage.
Receipt recognition
The amount and date are read from a receipt photo by Google ML Kit, on the device. Photos and recognised text never leave your phone. ML Kit may send Google technical metrics about the tool itself (performance and usage) and download model updates; these contain no receipt content. See the ML Kit terms.
Notifications
Warranty and backup reminders are scheduled on the phone itself. Their text never includes item names.
Purchases
Subscriptions and one-off purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We receive only anonymised sales reports and never see your card details.
Emails to support
If you email us, we see your email address and message. “Report a problem” adds only the Archy version, phone system and language — nothing from your archive. We use emails only to reply and delete them on request.
Children
Archy is not aimed at children and collects no data about anyone.
Your rights
All the data is yours. To erase it: Profile → “Erase all data”, or delete the app. For emails you have sent us, write to support@quietapps.app and we will delete them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
